Sometimes just going through the
motions of study and prayer brings me close enough to God that I regain an eternal
perspective. It may not be an edifying experience in and of itself, but it
allows the possibility of edifying experiences later in the day. My words are a
little more thoughtful, my actions a little more helpful, my feelings a little
more charitable.
